Ahmed Sokarno is Chief Executive Officer and founder of Vocational Education, Training and Employment Australia Limited (VETEA) since 2003. VETEA is composed and supported by twenty five subsidiary and two partner organisations.
Recently Mr. Sokarno has been elected as Chairman of the Australian Association for Continuing Education and Training (AACET).
Mr. Sokarno is the Chairman and founder of VETEA and VETEA India.

Mr. Sokarno has been elected as Chairman of the Australian Federation of Ethnic Communities Limited (AFEC) since 2015 and Director of the Ethnic Community Council of Queensland (ECCQ) since 2016.
Mr. Sokarno is Chairman of the Australian Asian Business Association Limited (AABA).
Mr. Sokarno is also Chief Executive Officer of the Queensland Institute of Sport Limited (QIS) and the Sydney Institute of Sport Limited (SIS). Away from business operations, Mr. Sokarno is a co-partner of Alliance Legal and Immigration Services and Alliance Tax and Accounting Services, previously Mr. Sokarno worked for six years as Chief Executive Officer of Austar Capital Finance Limited.
For ten years Mr. Sokarno was Editor-in-Chief for the first and only Australian Arabic Daily Newspaper and Chairman of the Ethnic Media Council of Australia for four years.
Formerly he was a national football player and a national and international football coach for three national teams in the Middle East and Australia.
Mr. Sokarno is a PhD candidate and holds a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education, Advanced Certificate of Football Coaching, Diploma in Sport Coaching, Diploma of Sports Development, Diploma of Sports and Recreation, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate IV in Finance, Certificate IV in Real Estate, Diploma of Management and he is an accredited Asian Football Confederation (AFC) coach.
